The First Week

Lol! Thanks, AI. The banner video came out great. (I use AI to make the banner videos) I especially love the inspirational soundtrack and the empathetic whispered assurance of the confident narrator.

If you ever wonder what kind of guy I am, I'm the kind of guy that for some reason finds that type of thing hilarious. And I don't know why.

Anyway. Let me get on with the post.

Whoo Hoo! One week in. And I think I've lost an entire pound. I'm not really trying to diet yet, but I did run 4 days in a row (the fifth day was kinda rainy). To me, that counts!

I haven't added the vest yet, as I'm getting my body back up to speed. I'm a bit heaver than I've been for a long time, so I'm definitely easing into it. Last thing I want is some type of strain to take me out of the game early. Especially as it's turning fall, I don't have much time before winter!

My site is coming together more and more, and as I consider doing things like social media integration, SEO, AEO (the new thing - optimize for chatbots.. don't know much about it), and accessibility (actually I really should do that one, especially because I do some unique things with how I built the site - it'll be a good learning experience anyway and probably good for interviews if I ever get another one) my mind turns to the fact that it's not a race, it's a journey. And all that matters is putting one foot in front of the other.

I've still got to add in some light kettlebell workouts to supplement my running, so I'll be giving that a try this week.

In fact, I think it's almost time for my workout now, so I'd better get going! The week after next, I plan to take my first non-running metrics with the kettlebells, so I'll be posting that as well. I don't know how much I'll be able to do haha, but I'll be keeping progress.

In the meantime, one foot in front of the other is all that counts!
