AMZCHEF Juicer

Not junk - it's a budget juicer that works perfectly fine especially for the price.

If you are considering this Juicer, I don't think you'll be disappointed. For the price, it's perfectly serviceable and works fine!

Pros:

  • Low Cost
  • Easier to clean than some

Cons:

  • Can overheat and jam (cut up vegetables, esp. celery, to prevent)
  • A bit noisier, less efficient, a bit more cloggy, and less powerful than a premium juicer

HAVE YOU EVER SEEN THE INSANE SERVING SUGGESTIONS FOR FRUITS AND VEGETABLES?

Believe it or not, they say you should get 5 a day. Five! I'd be lucky if I get 2! That is so much. That is SO MUCH!

However, I think I found a solution. Making juice haha. I'm actually into it. Almost as much as I'm into AI slop and internet brain rot. Ok maybe not that much, but I'm still into it. Skibidi pog no cap! (or whatever)

Anyway, I bought this juicer for $130 (although saw it on sale after for just $99). The AMZCHEF Juicer works good enough for personal use. It's not premium, but then again it is not a hunk of junk. It works!

I've had the opportunity to try out the much higher end Nama J2 Juicer and can compare the two. Now, don't get me wrong, this is definitely a tier below. You'll get maybe 20% less juice, and if (like me) you're a weirdo that saves some of the pulp it's noticeably less dry.  It's still kinda dry, but if you squeeze it, juice will drip out (you'll get a lot less with the Nama). In addition, you'll have to cut up your vegetables smaller, you can't run this juicer as long (over about 15 mins or so and it'll overheat, in fact the base gets warm after only a few - but lucky for me it didn't break when I accidently caused it to), and the pulp can jam easier especially celery (although if you cut it up small before feeding it to the juicer it helps a lot). It's also a bit nosier and takes a bit longer than the higher end juicer.

But at 1/4th or even 1/5th the price, if you find a sale, it's fine. It works good enough, and there is one category that it wins vs the Nama: it's slightly easier to clean.

My Juicing Method:

A 5lb bag of carrots and a bunch of celery usually form the base of my juice. I also usually throw in beets, a mango, a chuck of ginger and turmeric, and whatever other vegetables and fruits look interesting while I'm at the store. I usually go for an apple, a pear, maybe a nectarine or a peach, and a couple citrus like 2 lemons or a lemon and something else. Sometimes I put kale in, sometimes I even toss in some parsley, fennel, or dill. I've even use cilantro.

I cut up the vegetables to prep them, then I get juicing! With this juicer especially you don't wanna run it too long, or have the pulp get stuck. For celery I recommend slicing up into smaller than half-inch chunks. I usually throw some hard vegetables like carrots in with some of the fruit, or celery, so that everything keeps moving through.

I often save some of the pulp, 4 or 5 servings worth, and since I usually put in a couple lemons it'll last for a week in the fridge. A quick bowl can give me a monster serving of fruits and vegetables. They say you need 5 servings a day. Who can actually eat that? Well this is a way that I can.

The effects;

If I stay away from drinking, the health benefits of everything I do become more noticeable, drinking juice included. Currently I like to have a glass of juice in the morning plus maybe a little pulp for a snack later that day, The fiber is good for the gut, and the vitamins in the juice and pulp give me a noticeable boost of energy through the day. I am less groggy in the early hours, and I can hold of mental fatigue for longer in the later hours. A definite health benefit, and if you don't mind eating some pulp, it's not even that expensive since you can substitute a few meals a week.

For $35 or so bucks, you can have juice for a week, plus about 4-5 meal replacements/snacks. It's financially reasonable! And healthy as heck. Probably the only way I know how to actually get that much fruits and vegetables.

Conclusion:

Making Juice has added a noticeable boost to my energy, in addition to my favorite supplements, getting exercise, and drinking in moderation, it has it's own effect. I recommend it, and it can be cost effective if you don't mind snacking on the pulp like me haha.  This is a fine juicer, if you're loaded, go for a higher end model, but if it takes you more than a few weeks or so to save up, might as well get this.
